If you have need for a Modeler alignment and centering ARexx macro,
please read on.
This macro allows you to align anything from 1 point or polygon, to
multiple objects across multiple layers. Want to hang a pencil off the
horn of the Rhino? Simply select 1 (or more) point(s) at the tip of
the rhino horn, then select 1 (or more) point(s) at the tip of the
pencil, and the macro will move the pencil to the rhino horn, or the
rhino to the pencil. (Why anyone would want to do this escapes me, but
it gets the point across.)
You won't need to keep your objects centered about (0,0,0) either.
Place a tire onto a rim after the rim is on the car. Align object
centers, top edges, left sides, whatever. Set plates on a table, stack
blocks into a pyramid, center the numbers on the buttons of a touch
tone phone without using the move function.
Programming of this ARexx macro is completed, all work is my own. It
requires LW 3.5. (I expect it to work with 4.0, but I can't test it
yet since I don't have access to 4.0.)
Interested? Drop me a line.
